In 2008 Schenck Company created a cross-functional team of associates, nominated by the Leadership Team, to promote and communicate Schenck Company’s Green initiatives, as well as to gather ideas to continue to improve our green performance within the community. 

There are 9 Schenck associates involved in different activities from improving recycling processes to looking for further energy savings, and to gradually transition our fleet to become more environmentally friendly. 

Initiates already implemented:

>  10 new hybrid cars added to the fleet

>  Synthetic motor oil in all vehicles

>  High frequency forklift charges

>  Motion Sensor lights

>  Fluorescent bulbs throughout the warehouse

>  On-demand cooling warehouse

>  Recycling stations in break rooms & meeting rooms
